Sarah Emery Expat

Hi, I’m Sarah Emery.  A Filipina – British – American who’s exploring the world through an expatriate lens. Usually, I would only tell my insights and stories to my inner circle.  But this lifestyle is so transformative, that it’s too good not to share.

By sharing travel stories, and expat experiences. I hope to spark your sense of adventure, and curiosity about life abroad.  So much so, that you’re intrigued enough to engage with me on this shape shifting adventure.

Fun fact about me: 3 things I cannot live without.  My husband, my curiosity and WiFi (yes, in that order).  What are your 3?

The gift was the message.🙅🏽‍♀️Which was .... don’t talk about yourself. Always ask others about themselves #Ihavequestions🎉 🍽 And by George! When I was a kiddo, I grew up in suburbia 🏘 🇺🇸. I have fond memories of family drives around our neighborhood, ooooing and awwwwing at everyone’s Christmas decorations & lights 🌟🎠🎄😁 During these drives. My Dad would ask us to guess the exact time, we’d arrive home. Quickly, catching on to his game. I’d ask if I could drive in order to control our arrival time. 🚙💨 Never letting any of us win (or let me drive; I was, like 9 yrs) We’d always arrive home the time my Dad predicted. 😑😄 #thatguy🌃Fast forward to present day; city living. I’m fortunate and grateful to meander about & appreciate beautiful Christmas displays ✨ 💫⛄️ While this year’s holidays🎄 are definitely different to what anyone wants. There’s still plenty to be grateful for 🥰 ✨ Just look towards the light 💡☺️#keeppositive #christmasdecorationseverywhere #sarahwithasmile #urbanwalk #expatlife #americanexpat #urbanhike #thistooshallpass #bethelight✨
